Indian Head Casino is an important economic driver for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and has entered the first phase of its solar panel installation as of June 8th. The new solar and battery system will provide backup power to the casino during outages. In addition, Indian Head Casino will serve as an emergency shelter in the event of a natural disaster for the Warm Springs tribal community.

NeighborImpact’s Weatherization program provides free retrofit repair services which can include adding insulation, sealing leaky ducts and repairing heating systems for income-qualified clients. Weatherization staff conduct an on-site energy audit, a four-hour activity for evaluating and documenting the existing condition of your home. This information is then used to determine which measures will save you the most money on your utility bill.

The program is available to eligible low-income clients in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties and to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. Clients can be renters or homeowners and live in mobile homes or stick built homes. Income guidelines for program eligibility are listed below.

Nimiipuu Energy is a Tribe-to-Tribe Utility Cooperative built with a singular focus: to collaborate with regional tribes utilizing advancements in alternative energy technologies and software to generate energy. The rapid evolution of solar and storage technologies provides the Nimiipuu Energy Cooperative a weapon in the fight for energy sovereignty and environmental stewardship.

 

Northwest Native Chamber (NWNC) is an economic development nonprofit serving Native business owners and entrepreneurs in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. We grow Native economies, build coalitions of support, and support Native businesses and entrepreneurs with direct, one-on-one support. Pelton Round Butte Anadromous Fish Reintroduction and Pelton-Round Butte Hydroelectric Project Fish Facility

For more than 130 years, Portland General Electric has been powering people’s lives. As co-licensees of the Pelton Round Butte Hydroelectric Project, the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and Portland General Electric have collaborated to reintroduce salmon and steelhead to the upper Deschutes Basin in an effort to restore self-sustaining, harvestable populations.  We have built a one-of-kind juvenile collection facility and are gearing up to start construction on a new adult collection facility.

Warm Springs Power & Water Enterprises (WSPWE) manages the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs’ (CTWS) interest in the largest hydroelectric project within the state of Oregon, the Pelton-Round Butte Hydroelectric Project, and stewards the Tribes’ energy vision. WSPWE strengthens CTWS’ energy sovereignty by exploring innovative energy solutions, implementing critical maintenance at existing facilities and assets, and partnering with industry partners to continue to provide exemplary service to Tribal community members now and for generations to come.

Warm Springs Work-Experience Development Department (WEDD) and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) are currently seeking applicants between the ages of 14 and 24 to access our support services, work experience, and training programs. Training positions are available with various employers both on and off the reservation. Wages and placements depend on current skills, specific project requirements, and requests from either employers or applicants throughout the year. Our goal is to provide the necessary resources to help participants enter or re-enter employment, pursue higher education, or join the military.

Wasco Electric Cooperative provides reliable, cost-effective electricity to communities across north central Oregon. As a member-owned utility, we are committed to supporting energy efficiency and the long-term well-being of the communities we serve.

 

The WorkSource Oregon mobile unit will be at the energy fair, bringing job search support and training opportunities to the community. 

Wholly owned by the Yakama Nation, Yakama Power was formed in 2003 to provide Tribal and local customers with affordable and reliable electricity to enhance the quality of life for the Tribe and provide a stable, safe, and competitive work environment for its employees. Yakama Power currently serves 3,000 customer meters and an average electrical load of 18 megawatts.
