ACCOMPLISHMENTS

2000 – Assisted CTWS in acquiring an ownership interest in the largest hydroelectric project in the state of Oregon.

2003 – Assisted CTWS in becoming the first Tribe to issue an insured revenue bond to finance interest in the Pelton Project.

2005 – New Federal Energy Regulatory Commission License for the Pelton Hydroelectric Project.

2009 – Completed $120 million-dollar fish passage facility with Portland General Electric at the Round Butte Dam.

2010 – Assisted in negotiating a high voltage transmission line right of way renewal on the reservation.

2012 – Assisted CTWS in negotiations for a natural gas pipeline right of way through reservation lands.

2014 – Executed long-term power sales agreement for Tribe’s share of energy out of Pelton Project.

2013 to 2016 – WSPWE has been awarded just over $1.0 million in grants from DOE & DOI and the state of Oregon to explore renewable energy opportunities on Tribal trust lands.

2021 – Executed a long-term power sales agreement through 2040 for Tribe’s share of energy out of Pelton Project and increased CTWS ownership of the project from 33% to 49.99% through a bond issuance of $41 million.

2006 to Present – Invested over $150 million in fish and wildlife habit mitigation and natural resource improvements in the Deschutes Basin.
